Superhero Series

iPro Sport is the Proud Supporter of ‘The Superhero Series powered by npower’ teaming up for the first time at the inaugural Superhero Tri event as the Official Hydration Sports Drink Partner.

Created by Sophia Warner, GB Paralympian track and field athlete, The Superhero Series is the only mass-participation sports events dedicated to the ‘Everyday Superhero’– the UK’s 12 million people with disabilities and long-term injuries.

Superhero Tri makes it debut at Dorney Lake, Windsor on Saturday 19th August, supported by celebrity Team Captains: Sophie Christiansen, Kadeena Cox, Dave Henson, JJ Chalmers, Anne Dickins and Megan Giglia just to name a few. They will be calling on the public to join their team for the Celebrity Superhero Tri, one of several sporting challenges designed to inspire people to have a go.

Sophia Warner – Creator of the Superhero Series & GB Paralympian said;

“We are super excited to have iPro Sport on board to keep our participants well hydrated throughout the day. I love the brand and the product is just the perfect fit! I am really looking forward to working with the team at iPro Sport and I am sure this is just the start of a very exciting, long term partnership.”

The unique course challenges are designed to encourage the ‘Everyday Superhero’ to fly solo or team up with family and friends to do as much or as little as they wish, with as much or as little support as they need. The Celebrity Team Captains will unite with two competition winners on the day to complete a stage each of the Celebrity Superhero Tri relay (150m swim, 3k bike, 1k push/rush).

Sophie Christy, Commercial Director for iPro Sport commented;

“We really feel honoured to be involved and play our part in supporting this exciting opportunity for the Everyday Superhero to participate in an inclusive mass participation-sporting event! The 2017 Superhero Tri marks just the beginning of what I am sure will be an annual event, growing year on year providing new opportunities and experiences within disability sport.”

The Superhero Series aims to increase disability sport participation at all levels by removing restrictive rules and regulations imposed by most mass-participation events currently available.
