iPRO Plants a Tree with Wiltshire FA to Celebrate The Queen’s Green Canopy

Last Thursday, the team headed to Green Lane Playing Fields to celebrate The Queen’s Green Canopy with Wiltshire FA, Devizes Town Council and The Woodland Trust. The Queen’s Green Canopy is a tree-planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, which invites everyone across the UK to participate.

It’s a known fact that one tree alone can absorb more than 48 pounds of carbon dioxide and release oxygen in exchange. And in the fight against climate change, it’s believed that planting millions of trees is the fastest way to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

To show the brand’s commitment to nature, the team got their hands dirty planting their very own 'iPRO tree' with the local community. A sampling session followed, during which local school students got to try iPRO Student Edition and spin the brand's Wheel of Fortune.

To create a sustainable future for the FMCG industry, iPRO is proud to confirm its iPRO Student Edition packaging is 30% rPET. By recycling, cleaning, and remaking old plastic bottles partly into iPRO Student Edition packaging, CO2 emissions can be reduced by 70%. In the new year, iPRO will have share more updates on their packaging, so stay tuned!

Oliver Selfe, CEO at Wiltshire FA, said:

“We are committed to making Green Lane Playing Fields an environmentally friendly facility and we are delighted to have been able to plant trees at our site to benefit our community, our wildlife and the climate, now and for the future.

We are thrilled to have the support of iPRO, who have joined us on our journey to address climate change not only by sponsoring one of our new trees but by also offering a stock solution a healthy hydration drink in recycled and recyclable packaging.

The tree planting event has kickstarted a wider campaign for Wiltshire FA called The Good Game, which adopts a partnership approach and aims to use the influence and reach of football to engage the community to make small changes to help the environment.”

Samuel Ridge, Brand Representative at iPRO, said:

"Thank you to Wiltshire FA for inviting me to both their 'Plant A Tree Event' and 'Mens Football Senior Cup Semi Final Draw'. It was a pleasure representing iPRO at both of these events. Thank you to everyone who came along to plant the trees to help address climate change, also, a special thank you to all the students who tasted our student compliant range with positive feedback. Finally, good luck to all four teams in the upcoming Senior Cup Semi Finals!
